Where the Mundane Meets the Hidden Mystical
Suntamor: Haunting Remnants and Sanctum Vitae
Suntamor is the realm of humans, a place where the ordinary world unfolds under the rule of logic, science, and tangible reality. To most who walk its streets, there is nothing beyond what they can see, hear, and prove. It is a world of Dayborns—non-magical humans who live their lives unaware of the unseen forces surrounding them. But within the cracks of this seemingly predictable existence, something else lingers.
The Veiled Presence of Magic
Though Suntamor appears to be an ordinary realm, it is anything but. Magic pulses beneath the surface, hidden in plain sight. Magical humans, known as the Betwixters, live among Dayborns, seamlessly blending into their society while keeping their true nature a secret. They do not cast spells in the open, nor do they shift into their true forms where unknowing eyes might see. Their existence is dismissed as myth, yet they walk among the unknowing every day, straddling the line between their world and the other realms.
It is a life of careful restraint. To be discovered would mean unraveling centuries of secrecy. To wield power openly would risk breaking the fragile illusion that keeps the magical and non-magical worlds separate. And so, the Betwixters remain unseen, their abilities disguised beneath the masks of normalcy.
Haunting Remnants: Echoes of Forgotten Truths
Yet, despite the rigid order of logic and science, Suntamor is not without its mysteries. There are places where reality bends—abandoned buildings where shadows seem to move on their own, forests where whispers ride the wind, alleyways where time stretches unnaturally. These are remnants of something older, echoes of a world the Dayborns have long forgotten.
Some believe these anomalies are merely tricks of the mind, stories invented by those who refuse to accept reality. But for those who can see, for those who know, these remnants are proof that the veil between worlds is thinner than it seems. They are the ghosts of what once was, of what still is for those willing to perceive beyond the ordinary.
Sanctum Vitae: The Whispering Threshold
Sanctum Vitae is not inherently part of Suntamor but is instead a place within the Mystarc of Terradoor that occasionally reveals itself in Suntamor. Unlike the rigid, logical world of Dayborns, Sanctum Vitae exists as a liminal space—a place where whispers travel without sound and where presence is known rather than seen. It is a realm of remembrance, where the living and the departed may brush against one another, bound not by physical laws but by the resonance of their connection. Some feel it as a ripple in reality, an unseen current that pulls at the edges of perception, reminding them that there is more beyond what they know.
For most Dayborns, Sanctum Vitae is nothing more than an abstract concept, whispered in rare moments of deep insight or near-death experiences. But for the few who grasp its significance, it is more than a legend. It is an intersection of realms, an opening to something beyond comprehension. When it emerges in Suntamor, it does not break the rules of reality; instead, it bends perception, offering glimpses of the greater forces at play.
Relevance in Our World
Suntamor reflects a reality many of us experience daily. How much do we truly see? How often do we accept only what is in front of us, dismissing the unexplainable as mere fantasy? There is more to our existence than what meets the eye—subtle energies, unseen forces, and moments where time seems to fold in on itself. The question is, do we choose to see them?
For those who walk through Suntamor, perception shapes reality. The human brain is designed to prioritize familiar patterns, often filtering out what it cannot immediately categorize. If an idea does not fit into a person’s existing worldview, their mind may dismiss or reinterpret what their eyes perceive, making the inexplicable seem nonexistent. Studies show that if an idea is not relevant to a person’s framework of reality, their mind may reject or overlook what their eyes perceive. This explains why many Dayborns remain unaware of the magical remnants around them, dismissing anomalies as tricks of light or imagination. Some will remain blind to the mysteries around them, content in their understanding of the world. Others will sense the veil, feel the pulse of something more, and seek the path toward Sanctum Vitae. The choice, as always, is theirs.
Stay enchanted and keep the magic alive!
